Much like Christmas Eve, boaters across New England are counting down the days until the season officially kicks off—and all of us here MYS share that excitement! It’s a time filled with stress (boat yards), anticipation, and ultimately, the reward of being back on the water. We can’t wait!
MYS News: Introducing Our New “Build Spotlight” Series
We’re thrilled to debut a new feature in our monthly newsletters: Build Spotlight—a behind-the-scenes look at the boatbuilding process.
Our first spotlight will follow the construction of our Costa Custom 34 SV, a demo boat we’re building for the 2025 summer season. This vessel will also be available for sale.
Through this series, we hope to give you a real sense of what goes into building a custom vessel—from the build sheet to the initial splash. We’re excited to share this process with you and hope you find it as informative and inspiring as we do.
Industry News: Change Is Coming to Marine MLS Platforms
Brokers and dealers across the country have been facing serious challenges due to the growing monopoly in our industry’s MLS platforms. Permira, a global investment firm, owns Boats Group—which includes Boat Trader, YachtWorld, Boats.com, and the YachtCloser service we use to handle transactions.
Since acquiring Boats Group in 2021, Permira has increased prices by more than 700% in just four years. This has drastically impacted the value we receive and left many in the industry calling for change.
As a result, we’re seeing a growing wave of new MLS platforms entering the market—ones not tied to private equity firms and focused on better serving both brokers and consumers.
At MYS, we’ve been actively exploring these alternatives and will begin highlighting them in future newsletters. We believe in transparency and are committed to giving our clients maximum exposure.
All of our listings will continue to appear on the major Boats Group platforms: Boat Trader, YachtWorld, and Boats.com. But we’re also expanding to include:
Yachtr.com (an industry-owned MLS)
Rightboat.com
Facebook Marketplace
Facebook industry pages
Marine Source (coming soon)
We encourage you to explore these new platforms—they represent the future of boat buying. Each offers a more detailed and user-friendly experience, and we’re excited to be on the front lines of this shift.

2026 Costa Custom – 31 TE – Coming the winter of 2026
The all new 31 TE, 32’4″ LOA with 10’7″ beam carrying 400 gallons of fuel, powered with twin Mercury v10 400’s. She will be fast, fuel efficient with enough range to fish the Northeast Canyons with fuel to spare. Fuel economy projections are well over a 1 mpg!
2025 Costa Custom – 34 10″ SV – call for pricing
The 34SV is an evolutionary flagship to the natural progression from our game-changing 264HC. Its incredible lines draw similarities to its smaller counterpart, but takes on a life entirely of its own with a massive size, flare and creature comforts.
2026 Costa Custom 264 HC 26′ 4″ – call for pricing
Our game-changing 264 hybrid catamaran is the boat that checks every box. It is good looking, fast, stable, and fuel efficient. The hull design makes for an incredibly smooth, dry ride in rough water while eliminating bow steering. Our ten foot beam offers a spacious layout for hosting family and friends and the storage space is comparable to most 30’ monohulls.
