Ahh, April—the turning point of the season! We are transitioning from the whirlwind of boat shows and seminars to focusing on waxing, painting, and launching for the season ahead. Now is the time to prepare for the opportunities that lie ahead. As a wise man once said, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” That could not be more true as we gear up for a full season of incredible boating adventures! The decisions you make now will shape a season full of amazing memories.
As we wrap up the boat show and seminar season, one thing is clear: the future is here, and AI will have a major impact on the marine industry in the months and years to come. Recently, Kongsberg Group, the parent company of Simrad, announced a partnership with Viam, an engineering platform for AI.
“The partnership is focused on Kongsberg Discovery’s Simrad SY50, a compact omnidirectional medium-frequency fish-finding sonar. Viam’s technology allows SY50 users to translate complex sonar data into actionable targets and use AI to automatically tune key settings. Global fleets can seamlessly connect to the cloud, and captains can now instantly view underwater activity, enabling smarter decisions and enhancing performance.”
AI is here and I’m personally very excited to see where this takes the boating industry! This technological leap will redefine how we navigate and fish, making boating more efficient and enjoyable.

2026 Costa Custom – 39 TE coming this fall!
The all-new 39 TE, 39’4″ LOA, 11′ 11″ beam, carries 840 Gallons of fuel and is powered by quad Mercury V10 400’s with two rows of seating! We are extremely excited about this new model and look forward to seeing one on the water by the year’s end!
2026 Costa Custom – 31 TE – Coming the winter of 2026
The all new 31 TE, 32’4″ LOA with 10’7″ beam carrying 400 gallons of fuel, powered with twin Mercury v10 400’s. She will be fast, fuel efficient with enough range to fish the Northeast Canyons with fuel to spare. Fuel economy projections are well over a 1 mpg!
